What is discrimination?

  It is true that anywhere in the world has many discrimination which caused a serious phenomena.We are all human. All of us eat and drink. We breathe in the same air and have feelings. Therefore, I really want to help to tackle this problem, especially being a foreigner studying in a foreign country will always face this problem to us. Due to the fact of different cultures, languages, beliefs, etc. There are different types of discrimination.

Two major discriminations:
- "Direct discrimination", basically, it is the common type of discrimination, in this case, a person may treat another person unfairly due to some specific protected characteristics. It may also happen because of some perceived characteristics. A person may discriminate if another person has an association with the people with that protected characteristics.

-"Indirect discrimination", it means Some laws and policies may not prove advantageous for the person. It may be unfair to someone legally just like laws or policies so people can't even judge it.

Few other discriminations:
- "Victimisation", as some people may face such times where people may discriminate against to them if they claim the discrimination. They also have to face the same if their support the claim of an individual. People may also discriminate against them if their intentions do not seem favourable for others. All of it comes under the victimisation type of discrimination.

- "Harassment", it is the type of discrimination that hurts victims both mentally and physically. People may have to deal with the acts of offence, humiliation, and intimidation. People may do it with you due to your age, gender, race, religion or some disability. Rude gestures, written or spoken words and images or jokes are the ways people take to harass others.

- "Sexual harassment", basically it is same type with Harassment, however, this discrimination is sexual, It is the type of discrimination that may make a person lose self-esteem.
